Softball: Gators advance!

The Ladies had a solid outing today to wrap up the Gainesville Regional beating USF 8-0 behind Elizabeth Hightower’s no-no. Next up is Ugly in the Super Regional next weekend at home. What a great twofer opportunity; winning a super regional and doing it knocking off a hated rival. Go get ‘em Gators!

Bama also won their Regional beating Clemson two times. We now face Kentucky in the Super Regional. Kentucky won a series against Bama early in the season. So far though, Bama hasn't given up a point since giving up 5 points to Tenrsea in the SEC tourney.

I don't watch softball THAT much and I know this is getting off topic but it really does seem like Bama has the biggest players every year for the last 4 or 5 years that I have noticed. And by big I mean just fat. FAT. There I said it. Like that **** seems suuuper unhealthy. If you look like that in college while playing sports everyday what are you going to look like in 5 years.

Just being a smart alec, but I do sometimes watch Gator softball.
Incidentally, I have long wondered why women don't get their arms as far back as men and, consequently, don't throw as hard as men. But the University of Washington shortstop has a gun. She gets the arm back and fires it.

Maddie Morgan. She definitely is a top hog but when it comes to playing 3B she is really good.

And the "big" girls typically are power hitters. Bailey Hemphill is now the Alabama Home Run record holder with > 61 home runs. Hopefully there will be more from her this weekend too.
