Maybe Im misunderstanding it, but Im not so sure we sacrificed getting the more talented RB (Citizen) by taking Montrell. Both are 4* (granted, Citizen is rated a bit higher of a 4*) but Montrell's rating is based on playing college ball and Citizen is high school. The competition was G5 but still its better than high school competition.

I’m not sure either… With a full RB room, I’m speculating that he decided to look elsewhere. It could be that we had very little chance of getting him even if we didn’t pick up Montrell, idk. Just thinking out loud…

My son’s team (son was a freshman ILB) played against Citizen this year. I was away at work and didn’t get to see it. Son said Citizen was a man amongst boys, not exceptionally fast but it would have been easier to tackle a Semi Truck.

I think CBN has completed his evaluation of current players. Is that correct? If so, does this mean that one or more of our current RBs don't suit his offense?

Signing more than he needs gives him the option of redshirting one or more of the running backs while at the same time having them available in the event of an injury to one of the other backs

If Deion builds a super power at a FCS school, he will be an enormous figure in the AA community. He could then go to Clown College and recruit errybody.

Kinda feel like if he did do that, leave JSU to go to fsu, he would be ridiculed as a fraud. His whole premise is to talk recruits into choosing HBC over other places.

True, if we are well-stocked at all positions, this would be a good strategy.

Sounds a little like Pierce. He would be a good get for sure.
Did your son get a shot on him?

Son said he only got in during garbage time and Citizen came in for 2 plays while their JV back was hurt. Son said it was an experience for sure. Said the amazing thing was that Citizen’s O-line was just fair. And the one time he got a shot he said it took all 11 to get him out of bounds!
