He’s basically said he’s hiring an OC for next year hasn’t he? Is he gonna fire himself mid season?
Pittman didn’t hire anyone. He fired his OC and gave the interim spot to his RB coach. He’s down a coach until he hires someone after the season.
I'm not sure what else to say. Pittman made a move to shake things up. Billy offers tired, overused motivational quotes in pressers. Nobody is buying the line that any changes in season are impossible, when the guy across the sideline from him today, did just that 2 weeks ago. Pittman wants to at least get to a bowl game, and Billy couldn't care less.

What I'd like to see from a coach who just had his and his staff's sht pushed in is to actually state it and own it. When Spurrier got beat he didn't make a bunch of coach speak nothings and talk about process. He came in and said they got their butts whipped all over the field, weren't prepared enough, didn't play well enough, didn't coach well enough and the other team deserved to win and that they've got to do a lot better than what the did if they want to get things back on track. That's the sign of someone who's accountable and willing to own the situation, good or bad.
You gotta pay a guy at least $10 million a year to care in today's market.

Watching the lsu alabama game? LSU just scored on a long pass play. Saban’s disgusted. Billy would smile and mumble something in his mic.
There is one other thing in the Bama LSU game that is an absolute essential in today's college game unless you are the top team or teams with a perfect passing offense. You mist have a QB run game whether it be a guy who can really burn you on a scramble or really be a factor in QB run game like the guy for ARK or Milroe etc. Nothing against Fred Mertz and he can scramble a little but he not a threat to rip off a 20 30 yard run or longer at any time. And I have seen many of them everywhere today. The offense that Billy Taggert uses is too pedestrian and since it does not have precision parts at all positions, it is a must to have a QB threat in the run game, and use him in the run game and not like Tony last year.

My point is Pittman at least tried to shake things up, and even if it doesn't bear fruit at least he did something different. Doofus has refused to acknowledge or own ANY of his obvious bone-headed decisions, whether it is no ST coordinator, his dogged refusal to admit what everybody else on Earth knows which is he sucks as a play-caller, his offense sucks, his dumb in-game decisions, and so on.

This guy should be fired at the end of THIS season because everybody who watches us and knows anything about what he is, knows he'll be fired by the middle of next season. Why waste another year?
It's like I said earlier, he's not going to all of a sudden have a lightbulb go on....if that were the case we would see some consistent improvement at least in some areas. And we just don't outside of an occasional series or 2 per game of decent play calling. I've tried to look for the positives this program can build on but without winning games like this the players will never build enough confidence to challenge for titles.

Fsu canned Taggart in the middle of his 2nd season, why the hell should we have to wait half way thru the 3rd? Billy ain't gonna sniff 6 wins next year with that schedule, guess we'll be in a coaching search again this time next year.

In order or nothing changes:
1. Fire Stricklin, hire new AD.
2. Remove Foley from the property for good.
3. New AD fires the north Georgia inbred.

True, but I think talking about the # of wins versus the schedule is really pointless at this time. All I care about is the quality of play and that is what is not changing. If we win today and finish 6-6 what does it really matter? We had a tough schedule on paper this year and I think you can say it was a weaker schedule overall than what it looked like it would be pre season. Arguably UK TN, Utah, USCe and ARK were weaker than it looked like they would be. The schedule is what it is. The on the field product has to change and that usually does not happen b/c very very very few coaches are open or willing to make the obvious changes.

Watching the game live, what I saw was a disorganized team.
Not very often did it look like there was a plan.
There were some real nice drives that resulted in points, but more often than not you could literally watch the offense look at our sidelines begging for what to do..one was very obvious when Napier called a time out, I think in the third, can't remember.

I saw Napier get animated 1 time all game and that was the no call on pass interference when 22 was in the endzone, was right in front of me in North endzone and there is absolutely no excuse for the refs not to call that especially when they just called it the other way.

The rest of the game, Napier would meander up and down the sideline not often talking to anyone, and even less coaching kids up...barely even talked to them.

The offensive line is.....awful. Mertz never has any time, these dinks and dunks are quite frankly all he has time to even do. He also always looked where he was going and virtually never deviated. So the defense knows where he's going with it.

As much as I like big Dez....he can't tackle for schit. He's just a big body in the middle and doesn't move all that much.

Also, the refs in this game absolutely sucked balls. I'm not saying they are the difference, but they definitely sucked harder than t-gators mom on a Saturday night.
The botched XP was a key part of the loss, along with the quick early miscues in the first quarter that gave them a 14-0 lead.

Also, how the hell did Smack miss that kick? It looked good from where we were sitting though, admittedly not the nest angle. That too would have ended it.

At any rate, if Napeir doesn't get an OC, get a better OL coach (away from this 2 OL coach bullschit) and better OL players, along with general discipline and organization, then he won't make it. They were so disorganized.
I was in the North End Zone behind the band and I saw all the same stuff. Agreed there should have been a PI call there. And yes, Dez can't tackle. It was a rough, unorganized game for the Gators. That missed FG in the end of regulation, I don't even know what to make of all that. Sheesh.

These Tiger's are going to be really pissed off for next week if they lose tonight.

Being "competitive" but losing to a 2-6 team at home says he is willing to accept 4-6 losses a season. There's no way around it. He's not angry. He's unaffected.

He makes about $583,000 PER GAME, WIN OR LOSE. So yeah, what the eff does he care.

P.S.- Let that sink in for a moment as you try & wrap your head around that sum. $583,000 per game!

Pissed or not it is always nice to get a cupcake following a physical grueling battle against the top team in your division. Oh wait, never mind. Perhaps it will be a Xmas miracle, LOL

This may not be the place to ask a specific question about a play in the game but, here goes.
My seats are low on the west sideline and late in the game Peasall jump and tipped a pass on the east sideline while it looked like Wilson was possibly streaking down the sideline and was the intended target. Does anyone have any insight on what went down on that play?

Well he must be earning it the other 6 days of the week b/c Karl sure is not earning any of it on game day.
