$11mil for assistants. Billy was allotted $7.5 and only used $6.35 in 2022.
Billy's Army moved us from second from last to like 9th in the SEC. The "Army" is just a mid sized P5 staff but looks big next to Fooleys idea of a 1979 sized staff.

Elko is a worse choice than Stoops. Are they expecting the fans to do jumping jacks over that one?

Maybe so, I dunno. However, Elko was the DC at TAM a few years ago so they have history with him. Certainly not a splash hire but we’ll see how it works out.

So isn't Mike Elko an example of one of these "up and comers" you guys are complaining about? He has a grand total of two years head coaching, with a 16-9 record. I know it's impressive to win a few games at Duke, but it seems like if we hired this stiff the board would be melting down. It's another "diamond in the rough" hire. Finding an established winning coach to hire is exceedingly difficult. Don't think A&M didn't look under every damn rock.

At this point, an interesting candidate for some of these openings is Eli Drink. I’m a little surprised I didn’t hear his name attached to the TAM opening before they hired Elko. He’s done a good job at Mizzou and has shown willingness to take on more of a CEO role by relinquishing OC duties.

This guy looks like he's from Berts coaching tree....he's gotta be pushing 350# or more. He'll probably top 400# with that new HC salary and all of the BBQ joints in Mississippi

Yeah, there’s no way I’m investing my money in any all-you-can-eat restaurants in Starkville. This fat bastard is going to put a serious crimp in profit margins.

Anyone know what DJ Durkins up to these days....if's he's still in Texas have him pick up Holgerson on his way to meet Urbs for lunch in Jax....

And tell Stricklin to pick up the tab...

He was on Jimbo’s TAM staff a few weeks ago. Not sure now if that’s still the case.

I’m calling BS on the legitimacy of this alleged contract. No way they pay this guy $10.5m in incentives for winning the NC. That’s a $17.5m total payout when base salary is included.
And he'd be worth every cent if he brought them a NC.
