I doubt he will ever be another "freak" but I would love to be wrong. The freak was an awesome and rare talent and it never got old watching him do his thing.

If you saw Collins interview on signing day you could see a twinkle in his eye when talking about this kid. You could tell he thought he was a REAL special talent.

Of course, none of this could be true. According to conventional gator chatter wisdom, once Wilson spurned us we were left with NO good linebackers that nobody else wanted.

He better hit the weight room. He isn't playing as skinny as he is at the moment.

You realize there is a big difference between a rush specialist like this kid and an inside LB, right?

And I'm pretty sure that twinkle in his eye was just several nice Purple Dranks.

I look forward to seeing Jeremiah Moon flatten some QBs and I hope we get some LBs too.

He'll be a nice addition to the team. But as far as being the next "Freak", that will be a tough task to manage. If he is we'll be in for a real treat. I sure hope that it happens. Those player comparisons and expectations can come back to bite you.....i.e. "the next Percy Harvin".

So why is he only a rush specialist? Because you've deemed it so?

1) Article says LB. Coaches say LB.

2) He's being compared to The Freak. Now we've seen comparisons before that didn't turn out so well. But if he's anything like Kearse in college, Kearse was a little more than just a specialist, wouldn't you say?

If he's any good I expect this kid will play a little bigger role than say an Alex McCallister, who actually was a rush specialist.

Some of you people need to lighten up. Kearse, the original Freak himself, made the comparison. It's a nice story in the offseason. Just enjoy it along with a bit of daydreaming that this kid can become special.

Odds are he won't live up to that level of expectation, but if it drives the kid to be the best Moon he can be, I'm sure he'll provide us with some good highlights.

Rolin weighs 220, McMillian 227, and they've been here for 4 years. This kid could easily get up to 225 by the Fall, and we're probably going to need him at some point this season.
