He's doing a really good job of bringing in DTs. I seriously thought he wasn't gonna be able to do it.

What's your definition of really good?

I had to goto 247 to find a kid on a list. We don't have a single kid on the Rivals list. Concliffe is the 22nd rated DT on 247(sorry) and 307th overall. He's our highest rated DT. Help me out. I'm not trying to start crap but are you talking about bringing in bodies?

He's 17th on Rivals and 22nd, as you said, on 247. However, there are 4-5 guys ahead of him I don't want UF going after. No more lightweights at DT. Don't forget, if we get him, Slaton is playing DT and he is a freak of nature. Watch his tape. That kid is nasty. Kyree was a 4 star in 2016. This is a solid DT class. I just wish Mac had added one more.

He's already behind on next year's class...this is from another site:

Espn 300 list committed for 2018

Clemson has 4
Penn st has 7
FSU has 5
Bama has 3
Miami has 6

Florida? ZERO

You seem to post a lot of information from "other sites" and rarely if ever provide a link.

Whoever posted that info on whatever other site it was is wrong. That's the problem with information that only one person has access to.

Jalynn Williams St. Petersburg (Saint Petersburg, FL)
ATH 5-11185 FLORIDA - Hard Commit

I didn't bother checking the info on the other teams, so take it with a grain of salt

Yes bodies. DTs tend to be a bit of a crapshoot. I'd rather he get bodies with size and let the chips sort where they may.

Now, if you're talking about skill positions like running back, wide receiver, QB, cornerback, DE, etc... it's been proven over and over that the rankings rankings tend to get it right.

If he miraculously pulled a top 10 class even the skeptical would have to say he had a nice finish. It will be hard to do that now however. Maybe top 12.
Finishing at number 10 juuuuust ahead of USCe and Kintucky wouldnt impress me. It still means a lot of FIU kids and losing people we really need to the likes of Mizzu and Maryland.

But its bettwr than 37th.

LOL, I'll own that. Didn't read the ESPN 300 part.

I still wish he would provide links, some of the numbers in those posts seem questionable

Questionable? No, you just don't like to hear the truth. At what point do you realize Mac sucks out loud at recruiting? I guess when he is fired after 2017.

PS I'm not linking other message boards unless necessary...just out of respect to Ox(who has worked hard to make this a great place).

Gotcha...though we've had some bad ass highly ranked DTs completely pan out...Davis, Hunter, Floyd and Easley all come to mind as 5 star stud DTs.
