Lacedrick Brunson, 2-star LB, Miami
Brunson is a sleeper prospect whom UF brought in for an official visit last weekend. Linebacker is one of Florida’s biggest needs for 2017, and the Gators have three LB commitments. However, they would like to sign four players at the position.

Prediction: Florida

---

What a disaster. We'll sign 21 players, 4 short of what we needed....and filling it w/ 2-star players. I know, I know....McElwain has an eye for talent and we can add 1 or 2 stars to their ratings. Pfffft!
Trust me...after we missed on our top DE/LB/CB/Safety prospects everyone will (unfortunately) see why we needed to land some elite star players at those positions instead of taking the guys we have. Unless we strike gold with Franks/Trask and the offense is in the top 40 i'm afraid it's going to be another long disappointing year for Gator Nation.

I always wondered about that thought. So do we assume that the players they've spent the last 11 months chasing, and losing to other schools, are or are not properly evaluated by our excellent staff? This always confuses me.
Some of these people who say this sh*t are either stupid or don't follow recruiting at all. I'm convinced it's both at this point  I tuned into WRUF 850 (while I was spraying a car this afternoon) and some of this sh*t I heard had me laughing so hard I had to stop and turn that sh*t off before I screwed up! It's unbelievable how little those callers know/understand how this recruiting sh*t works.

This is Graham Hall's predicted class. He has Malik Young and Lemmons in the class, for a total of 22. If we don't sign either of those we only get 20? That would be a disaster....as if this isn't already a disaster. Only one WR, one TE, only two OL's..... We should have seen: 1 more OL, 1 more TE, 1 more WR, 1 more QB, and a few higher rated players....but this is what we are these days:

With that number certain to rise in the next 24 hours, here’s my opinion of how Florida’s 2017 class will finish.

QB

3* Jake Allen – St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fl.)

RB

4* Malik Davis – Jesuit (Tampa, Fl.)

4* Adarius Lemons – Clearwater (Clearwater, Fl.)

WR

4* DaQuon Green – Tampa Tech (Tampa, Fl.)

TE

4* Kemore Gamble – Miami Southridge (Miami, Fl.) – Enrolled on Jan. 4

OL

4* Kadeem Telfort – Booker T. Washington (Miami, Fl.) – Enrolled on Jan. 5

4* T.J. Moore – Mallard Creek (Charlotte, N.C.)

DL

3* Kyree Campbell – Wyoming Seminary (Kingston, Pa.) – Enrolled on Jan. 4

4* Zachary Carter – Hillsborough (Tampa, Fl.)

4* Tedarrell Slaton – American Heritage (Plantation, Fl.)

4* Elijah Conliffe – Hampton (Hampton, Va.)

3* Malik Young — Eastern Arizona College (JUCO)

LB

3* James Houston – American Heritage (Plantation, Fl.)– Enrolled on Jan. 8

3* Ventrell Miller – Kathleen (Lakeland, Fl.)

3* Nick Smith – Dr. Phillips (Orlando, Fl.)

2* Lacedrick Brunson – Miami Jackson (Miami, Fl.)

DB

4* Brad Stewart – McDonogh 35 (New Orleans, La.)

4* Marco Wilson – American Heritage (Plantation, Fl.)

3* Shawn Davis – Miami Southridge (Miami, Fl.)

3* Donovan Stiner – Bellaire (Bellaire, Tex.)

3* Brian Edwards — Miramar (Hollywood, Fl.)

ATH

3* Kadarius Toney – Blount (Eight Mile, Ala.) – Enrolled on Jan. 4

Hansard is the only one off that list I'd really prefer.

Those 260 lb projects just don't pan out too often.

Some do, some don't...the difference is we are looking for kids to play as freshman. So there may be kids with better technique and even more potential that would greatly benefit from a redshirt year. WE obviously can't take any of those. Mac not getting DTs the last two years is negligent.

Yeah that's what I believe will happen also. Smh...sh*t use to get me upset but after 6 yrs of the offense I've seen at UF I knew it was just a matter of time before the ineptitude spread to the other side of the ball as well. The facts are that we have a decent HC who can't recruit...the asst coaches was either washed up (nord/summers) or subpar hires to begin with (which was a large part to due with our cheap a$$ administration)...then you add in us having about 1/3 of the support staff as the "big boys" and our sh*tty ass facilities and you can see why we are in the shape we're in. Smh...it's unfortunate that people (like ourselves) who bleed orange & blue have to sit back and watch the program we love flushed down the toilet by a bunch of money hungry douchbags who couldn't care less about the fans who spend thousands of dollars a year to support our once proud Football program.

We can forget about Jones, FSU sent a pornstar after him....

Ray intrigues me, because everything I read suggests that he and his family don't really care about Saban's BS recruiting tactics. His family likes both Bama and UF, so no family pressure. I almost get the sense that he'd turn down Bama, just to be the guy who said no to Saban.

As a JUCO he'd be ready to play.

This is wishful thinking on your part. Many JUCO come in and are not ready to play at this level. UF has signed several JUCOs over the years that showed up not ready to play. If UF gets Young, I am hoping a bit that UF does then we can hope he is ready to play.

They send that skank after just about all those kids. It's rumored that on the big recruiting weekends that she and some of her co-worker's are brought in to help Jimbo land these kids.

You're dreaming about ray. We got a better chance of the gaddy twins sending in a loi. Back in the meyer days I'd give a shot with a guy like ray though. I think the kids been classy about his recruitment but he's all bammer.

You could pick up the average $40 meth whore off the Motel 6 parming lot and likely have a better chance at leaving without an STD.

I dont understand these kids. Youre a young stud football recruit on campus and undoubtedly being shown a good time. Lets say someone is going to let you drive a car for the night, maybe weekend, maybe or maybe not with an eye toward driving it later as a freshman or even keeping it in the future. There are sweet new sports cars all over the lot, literally everywhere, all new or nearly new and all with super low miles on the odometer.

Why in the world would you take the shiny but raggedy older model that has an astonishing 600,000 miles on the odometer, obvious fiberglass repair to the hood, and running gear of very questionable health?

This one's on Rumph & Gray - oh, and apparently the food.
If we juat add a couple of more strong recruiters maybe we can overcome Butters' weaknesses.

I dont know how we overcome his weakness in hiring shytty OCs.

Yeah, Id say as a rule they come in needing a year to be ready. They may play, but they are usually not ready. Then they are seniors if we cant redshirt them (which isnt the case bc roster problems are exactly why we are signing a juco).

Reggie Nelson is the only exception that comes immediately to mind. But Reggie was a five star kid in hs who had to go juco. Those are rare to find.

So you can tell your buddies back home that you banged a slightly semi-famous porn star. It's really as simple as that.

I just cannot wait to come back after work and read how our recruiting class (20-25 18 year old boys that WANT to be gators) sucks.........I will be at my :pumper::pumper:ist today..........and any trashing of new gators will see a new level of coach speak regarding the denigration of my new players............
