I've seen the question asked that if they were regular students would they be expelled?

Anyone know? I think they are getting off pretty light.

If I'm one of Callaway's teammates, I'm troubled over playing with the guy. Not because he's a dumbass, but because he's proven again and again that he's willing to put himself before the team, and I can't respect that.

He's got a long road ahead of him if he expects to earn back his teammates' respect. I'm not sure he can.

If I were a teammate I would feel the same way, but I'm not sure these kids have the same mentality.

It is definitely a shame that kids with so much opportunity choose to risk it for such little value.

Correct. Let's not forget how many former teammates of Hernandez came out in his defense, even with the clear evidence in multiple cases, and worse yet, even after he was convicted.

On your last point, I'm not even sure these kids have any clue what they're giving up and the general ramifications of their actions until its waaaayy too late. Again, see Hernandez.

And that's why it's Mac's job to show them...by getting rid of a selfish player who consistently puts himself above the team.

I still think we win vs michigan but we definitely wont be at full strength. However, that's not an excuse because even with 7 players suspended, Michigan still has to replace more people and we still have a good enough team to win or be very very competitive. The recent news is certainly troubling, but Im tired of the excuses i.e. no QB, not at full strength, injuries, being inexperienced, etc. At this point either the players have bought in to what MAC has been selling in regards to the program or they havent. We'll find out week 1.

I don't know why but I just don't think this decides the Mich game. I just think this team this year is a completely different version and is the beginning of what MAC is building. They don't seem to care. They just want to line up and beat the crap out of you. That's the attitude I see. I hate to invoke Bama but that is the attitude our team seems to have- business to take care of. These guys will be ready and I just don't think the suspensions will decide the game. Not quite at the championship level but Mac is building serious attitude, serious depth and a serious team. JMO

I hate to agree with you but this time I will. Sometimes it takes adversity to form a team........ I think we will play well against Michicken!

That boy's act is getting real old. It's hard to believe he's not the catalyst for this behavior. He'll be lucky if he's not kicked off.

Yes it is, that's why I am hoping that Cleveland, Massey, and company do really well. Callaway is beginning to look like a wasted caused with a ton of talent.

What did he really do last year? There no great punt returns, no game changing pass plays but I did see punts being caught inside the ten and some lining up penalties. He sure didn't cause a defense to overreact to him, Lord knows our offense sure needs someone to do that. He probably needs to go.

We only attempted 13 passes last season.

If we learned anything from Meyer's tenure it's that when you have arrests you're going to be raked over the coals anyway, even if those players are dealt with. Guys like Ronnie Wilson and Hornsby were(are) constantly brought up despite never playing for UF again. For something like this, I say let him play every game. I can't imagine him sitting on his couch with his happy family 30 years from now saying "it's all because I didn't play a meaningless nonconference game back in my Jr year."

Couldn't disagree more. If we learned anything from Meyer's tenure it's that discipline is necessary for long term sustainability of a program and favoritism should never be tolerated.

These friggin Tennessee fans are so obsessed with everything Florida. Radio hosts here in Knoxville raving about how much they're "in love" with this coming out of Gainesville. Classless fans up here, I tell you! It has nothing to do with them nor the match up, but they're so giddy. The envy up here is so real! Absolutely classless and I hope we put up half a hundred on them.

Cut them some slack man. After all we did smirk just a bit at their "frat butt chugging" ER visit.

In looking at the MICH game, I would ask "what are we really losing?" and with that, I come up with "not much". Our QB was already a question mark, as was depth beyond Callaway. So, I'm thinking whatever potential we had is intact. RBs are same as they ever were, and the OL is essentially the same...most of the names appear to be 'depth' to me. Moreover, the one thing MICH had to plan for (Callaway) is gone...so they are further guessing what to prepare for. I agree with others, this doesn't change the MICH game much. Either we still suck, or we get enough players to make things happen. I do hope it give false hopes for MICH and allows them to be over confident, but in reality, it doesn't change much.
