You have CT scans of his brain as proof?
What is the chemistry behind it? We are talking about 3-5 years. He did not have that at the time he started his behavior.

Whether somebody like Hernandez or Manson should be forgiven is totally and completely irrelevant. If a soldier gets PTSD and goes on an murder spree doesn't mean he gets automatically forgiven. The point is to keep learning about what causes this kind of behavior in an attempt to prevent it in the future. Any comment that simply blows off the possibility that brain damage can help cause such behavioral issues is just posturing. I think the buzzword for it these days is value projecting or something like that

Who's creating a timeline or attempting to determine whether he was not guilty of murder? I'm surely not. It's impossible to go back and recreate history or piece it with the degradation of his brain. I'm simply pointing out the undeniable, that he had Stage 3 CTE, which is quite serious and which can have a profound impact on the brain. WE DON'T KNOW.

I trust the rest of you are cable of critical thinking. Or I would hope you are.

The one person i am aware of who is absolutely capable of critical thinking is donkey...

Symptoms of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy
The symptoms of CTE can be debilitating and may have life-changing effects for both the individual and for his or her family. Some of the most common include loss of memory, difficulty controlling impulsive or erratic behavior, impaired judgment, behavioral disturbances including aggression and depression, difficult with balance, and a gradual onset of dementia. An individual with CTE may mistakenly ascribe the symptoms to the normal process of aging, or might receive a wrong diagnosis due to the fact that many of the symptoms are similar to other conditions such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease. CTE has been diagnosed in several notable cases which received widespread media attention, including the suicide deaths of NFL player Junior Seau, and professional wrestler Chris Benoit who committed suicide after murdering his wife and son.

I don't know. Does it?
Look at the number of connections being created vs being broken.

I should also bring in physics. By the time he is a sophomore his body weight and volume of hits have not created his separation from right and wrong. That process started 5 years earlier.

And I have not nor 1000's of others did not start down this path when we were 20.

Look, I can't help it if I hate wimmens. My ex-wife used to hit me in the head with a frying pan. It's her fault.

It's a shame we have such perfect people on this board who can't admit to their own physical shortcomings, psychological shortcomings counting as physical. What Aaron Hernandez did to two or three (or perhaps more) people is nothing short of heinous. Did he go out and commit those crimes with a perfectly fit thought process? There is not a person on this board who can attest to that. Anyone who pretends to know is simply out of the know.

End. Of. Story.

We are a violent species. Whether we act on those or not is the issue. End of story.

A game of percentages.

Percentages? Glad you raised that point.

* His father, whom he worshipped, died after hernia surgery when Hernandez was 16.
* The kid never had time to prepare himself for the loss.
* Absent an authority figure in his life, he developed a defiance to authority.
* At 17, under the influence, busted a guy's eardrum in a restaurant.
* One example of his ability to example to control his emotions.
* Five months later, five gunshots fired into a car in Gainesville.
* Coincidence?
* Whether it occurred before or during CTE, we are left with conjecture.

Enough gray area for y'all?
