5. The SEC Least
How do I love an entire division in the Coveted Fifth Spot? Let me count the ways. Vandy lost to Bama by 59 points; Mizzou lost to Auburn by 37; Kentucky fell to Florida for the 31st time in a row by blowing a 13-point, fourth-quarter lead. Then Florida had nine players tagged in a fraud case. And the team that had just lost to Kentucky last week, South Carolina, had to kick a late field goal to win 17-16 over Louisiana Tech, a team that came in the day ranked 94th in the nation in points allowed. Am I missing anyone? Oh yeah, Tennessee message boards have been filled with eleventy-billion #FireButch complaints after being in this spot solo last week and then narrowly escaping UMass. So, how many ways? All those other numbers added to eleventy-billion.

Ouch.

Last year we were the second worst P5 division. Wear them shirts proudly!

We'll find out how bad they are when they play us.

Maybe we are hitting our stride by then. I had the cocktail party penciled in as a loss before the season. Del Rio/Nuss against Smart/veteran talented defense with NFL players on each level scares me. I know Del Rio "won" last year but he was terrible and he doesn't have defensive borgs to lean on this time around.

Perhaps Shands surgeons re-attached LDR's throwing muscles with the goal of de-noodling his arm-- 4th down rocket into Thompson's breadbasket as an example. If, big if, LDR analyzes the defense's alignment and audibles out of Nuss's call, we've got lots of O-improvement. I hope we get enough score lead to let FF mop up, with a couple of TD drives of his own ... enough lead to allow Mac to look longer at the beautiful blue sky -- that's what life's about, not the $4 million herenow.

The East used to be the best for many, many years in the 90s and 00s but now it has switched over to the West since 2010. It will swing back to the East one of these years...

I think that Butters has rode a multiyear down streak to multiple SECe championships leading to idiotic extensions that have extended the suffering of this board for hopefully 2 extra seasons or less.

Rog, I also noticed LDR's first pass - a flanker screen - had a quicker release and more zip to it than the same one by Franks.
That pass alone made me sit up and think, "Wow. Maybe LDR is fully healthy again and stronger than I remember."

Franks has a big arm but he also has a big slow windup. He needs to work on it.

I thought the East actually had a winning record against the West last year. I would have to go check on that (which I won't since it could only hurt my point). I think it's pretty much fake news at this point that the West is so much better than the East. Take out Bammer and the SEC looks like equal opportunity suckage to me.

Are you saying Shands made LDR the $6 Million Dollar Man?

East hasn't had a winning record vs the west since 08.
