I don't hate Tom petty but the whole Tom petty thing at the end of the 3rd or whatever, I just wasn't really feeling it.

I'm sorry but watching a Muschamp led team beat Georgia would be just fine.

I guess for the same reasons as the Las Vegas oddsmakers? You know that UM and FSU were both favored to win, right?

Just because other morons think stupid things doesn't mean you have to also.

I admit I did have some doubt about LSU.

Uga could only get to 24 points on SC last year and that was a home game, and Uga had a better team. So I don't see them reaching 24 on the road, but they'll still win. Probably an ugly defensive game. I got Uga winning something like 16-7.

I actually took the money line on the FSU game and there wasn't a moneyline on the LSU scUM game but I think I got 1.5 points with LSU. I wasn't surprised at all that I won those 2. Saw them both as pick-ems at worst so why not take the odds. The easiest money though was Hawaii at home against Navy. I had already won on them week zero when I took them on the moneyline against Colorado State so I had just watched them hammer Crackstains old school, and then with UH going home they were big dogs to fuking Navy? That was a gift. And Bama -24 over Louisville also seemed almost like free money. I'm having a good year so far so am due for a bunch of loses LOL.

I've had the Tom Petty argument before with folks. On the one hand, there's no denying his songs tend to be very simple and repetitive and he wasn't a great musician/guitarist. Also I saw him live at the Hollywood bowl some 20 something years ago and he didn't put on a great live show simply because of the simplicity of the music, no great soloists, etc.

But on the other hand he can't be considered anything than a genius song writer simply based on having an uncanny skill of writing hit after hit after hit for decades, many of which are catchy as hell and I enjoy quite a bit. In fact he's number one all time top 10 hits in mainstream rock songs category. You don't write and release more hit rock songs than everyone else over 40 years by sucking. He had a gift and amazing staying power, but he was a drug addict and that doesn't usually end well when you are still at it in your 60's.

What? More than Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, hell even Kiss? Prince?

He isn't close to "more hit rock songs than everyone else". He has like two whiny, twangy songs.

The collective of Las Vegas oddsmakers is a body of morons in your view?
You understand what oddsmakers do, right? They move the line left or right in response to how much money people are putting on one team or the other, right?

The morons are those who think that Taggart isn't what his record says he is and decided to lose their money buying the "he's respected despite his record" mantra.

That takes place after the initial line is put out, right? You understand that the line can't be moved until bets are placed, and that there can be no initial bets until a line is established, right? And you understand that the initial lines on those games had UM and FSU as favorites, right?

As a matter of fact, I don't know George Edmondson personally, and I'm not "agin" the 2bit cheer, I've always been annoyed by hams, however. Mostly, my criticism was said tongue and cheek so I could annoy super fans like Captain Yeti :), and of course, I wasn't disappointed.

Tongue in cheek, eh? Well, you slipped that one right on by me, yes you did. I'm guessing you don't sway along to We Are The Boys either.

Good news is, those are people you'll never have to worry about seeing in the stadium. Ever. But they'll be on the internet live after the TV broadcast is over!!!

My stepbro hated Petty, too, for the same reason -- whined that he had whiny sound vocals. Then TP cut this track with the whiny temptress, Stevie, to create turbo whiny.

I used to drive him crazy by blasting this in front of him.

I actually liked it, though.

Who are you referring to here?

And we get it - only superior fans go to the games. You've made that very clear over the years.
