If Vandy can take ND down to the wire in South Bend, they can certainly beat us in Nashville if we come in flat and they have a good game.
Regardless, I expected maybe 7-5 record this year or even worse. The W/L isn't really what I was concerned with though. What I wanted to see was some obvious progress. And I think we can all agree that there has been way more progress than almost any of us had hoped for. At this point, even going 3-3 the rest of the way is going to a success story for Mullen, despite the suddenly lofty expectations surrounding the program. All it would take is a key injury or two to really change the outlook for the remainder of the season. But if we continue to run a sound offensive scheme, continue to attack on D, and continue to have solid special teams, and our S&C continues to pay dividends, then I will be pretty pumped for the start of next season.
All that being said, I really hope we pound them like red-headed stepchildren tomorrow.
