Great news so far. At least the additions we are getting are at meaningful positions of need. Flips from FSU and Miami are even better.

Tom loy is fairly respected, but he’s plugged into Notre Dame the most.

He’s the same guy that said he was going to put aCB in for Emory to go to FSU but was waiting on one final word before doing so. So he’s mixed

Seems that maybe winning on the field actually does affect recruiting.

It's early, but it seems Mullen's building something that kids want to be apart of. It wasn't always pretty this year, but for the first time in a while you could see what the plan was. You could tell that with a little more talent this team is gonna be really good. And a lot of fans don't want to admit this, but Dan is proving that he may have been more integral to those championship years than you think. Our offense fell off a cliff when he left. It also coincided with the departure of Harvin, which some think is the reason.
The next year, we ran the table all the way to the SECCG and got exposed by Saban. But you knew all during the season that something just wasn't right. Addazio was just not the same. Then after Daz, it bottomed out.

I'm really excited about this class. I just have a feeling it's going to be really good. You may call me a pumper(I'm not), but Dan's been here, now, 2 separate stints. So far he's done nothing but be WILDLY successful. If you can be negative about that maybe you should try asking yourself what else can Mullen do? 2 'ships in 4 years as OC. Comes back after 9 years away and we have the best season since he left.

Certainly if a recruit were a UF fan in any way but committed to Miami or FSU before this season because it seemed like a better business decision, that rationale has been mooted.

That makes 6 o-line commits. How many more are we taking?
I say we take as many OL and DL as we can get. 9 of your 22 starters are usually in the trenches and very injury prone due to the constant contact against another massive sumbitch...or two.
We’ve got the room to bring in a big class if we can fill it with some quality.

Look at the very first post in this thread (it's about Howell). He was a huge pick up for willie....and a head scratcher (on why he'd want to play for him). I'm curious how much of a factor Mack Brown will be at UNC (if he'll recruit well). Lots of talent in that state that tends to leave.

It's been mentioned earlier, but it looks like Wilson may get pushed out due to academics. I'd like to see White get pushed out also, but looks like he's going to stick. If we process Wilson I'd guess Hammond is the next in line. Bell seems like he's heading to Auburn and I don't think we flip Jones (although how can these recruits not see the writing on the wall w/ Malzahn? He gone, just a matter of when). We're still pushing Lucas and a few others, but I think Hammond is the last possible OL take.

I don't think we take two. I think if Howell flips it'll be to UGA, Clemson, or UNC. I'd love to add two, but the way QB recruiting goes these days the kids usually lock in w/ one school and commit early. Most of the bigger schools have their 2019 QB. I'm sure Mullen will put out some feelers though. I actually really like Jalon Jones, he has the size to run Mullen's offense (he'll be 230+ in no time).
