Didn't UF have a QB named Kessler who was a star baseball player?

Guess it'd be silly for me to mention a college guy who starred in baseball, football, & track?

Gil Thorpe correction = Jim Thorpe......(thanx AR)

Gil Thorpe.
You forgot basketball. I think he must hold every record at Milford High, but then he has been coaching there since 1958.

I'm guessing that was a baseball game, from what I can remember of him as a QB, wasn't good. Who was a better QB, Perry or Donald Douglas?

My mistake on this comment....I was thinking of Rodney Brewer in 1985, who was also a baseball player. The 85 Rutgers game was a disaster. We went up 28-7 and midway through the 3rd quarter Hall replaced Bell w/ Brewer....who threw a pick 6 and Rutgers made a QB change and later tying the game at 28-28. We were ranked 3rd in the country! I could see if it was 8 minutes to go in the 4th, but not the 3rd.

Was Eric Kresser a baseball player? Doug Johnson was.

@GatorDave_SEC: 2020 QB Anthony Richardson decommitting from Gators

1. This means we’re more than likely getting Beck. Who will jump into the top 100 possibly top 50 after summer camps (hell could even be a 5 star. He dominates the best competition in Florida)

2. Damn. This does suck. Because he’s a hell of an athlete.

QB Antony Richardson de-commits from UF

The Florida Gators lost one of the 2020 verbal commitments on Tuesday evening when Gainesville (Fla.) Eastside three-star quarterback Anthony Richardson opened back up his recruiting process. Richardson took to his Twitter account to share a message with his change of heart.

"Thank you to the University of Florida for giving me the opportunity to extend my football and academic career on the next level, but after a lot of thinking I will be de-comitting from the University of Florida and opening my recruitment process back up. The University of Florida is still in consideration but I'm going to let God take over everything and and let him land him in the right spot. Respect my Decision."

@t-gator didn’t you say they were looking at him for more of an athlete role? Maybe the Beck pursuit has him reconsidering.
It was a friend of mine who happens to be a football junkies opinion. Him and a few others. Graham said something about it on the radio aswell. Nothing with any real substance.

Somewhat concerned about this. Mullinz knows how to use a power back athlete at QB.

The last "prostyle" QB Mullinz had was Tyler Russell and he didnt have a clue what to do with him. Im not sure signing the next John Brantley is a great idea.

Time and time again, this year even, we ve seen that his offense doesnt work without a running QB. It is just too simplistic to work without the QB forcing defenses to send extra bodies in the box

Gil Thorp is a cartoon character in the newspapers who coached at mythical “Milford High.” The comic strip has been around since the late 50s. Probably stored deep in your subconscious. I knew who you meant, tho I mocked you anyway.

Maybe this kid can move? He’s a non-pitching baseball player, right? As long as he’s not a 1B or catcher, should be pretty athletic.
