The turnovers killed us in this game. We had 19 of them or else we win by 8-10 points. Hayes another monster game with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Hudson huge with 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Our defense was good enough to win, AU hit a ton of very contested 3s and made them. They won't have that kind of luck in the title game. On to the NCAA Tourney as an 11 seed. Go Gators!!

That's just utter incompetence from the refs. They are literally tackling our guy as he's in a shooting motion. I don't care what time is left on the clock: that's a blatant foul and we were completely jobbed.

2nd half turnovers killed us. Fatigue might’ve been a factor though. Based on the last time we played the barn, I didn’t really expect to win, so I’m glad we kept it competitive.

The only problem with Hayes and Hudson's numbers today were that they accounted for a good percentage of our turnovers, too. Hudson just dribbles the ball away several times a game and Hayes has the weakest hands of any big man I've ever seen. We were just too sloppy with the ball, especially in the 2nd half and Auburn had at least 20 more shots than us. So now we wait to see which #5 seed we play, which is someone on par with Auburn.

This is Whites primary weakness. He refuses to fight for his team. I have said this for three years now. If you let them screw you they will continue to do so. Doesn’t matter if it didn’t change the outcome it sets the tone for future games and it shows your team that you will fight for them

So amusing to read this thread. So many repeatedly gave up. Almost possession by possession. Coach stuck to the plan...kept the game close and had a chance to win at the end.

Game came down to a missed open 3 by a freshman KJ followed by another clutch 3 by them. We then immediately drive for a two and then we get the missed FT to set up a final 3 to tie. Refs blow the foul call and we lose.

Helluva a game and effort. Hayes and Hudson who could barely contribute early in the year really came on strong again.

Coach White is coaching his azz off right now. many want us to attack the basket or force it inside while others want us to shoot 3’s and everyone wants more up tempo. But White knows what he is working with and what the offensive limitations are. He really understands we lack elite ball handling and often have 4 avg to mediocre ball handlers on the court. ALL of our best shooters are streaky as hell. They are just as capable of missing 6 in a row as they are of making 3 in a row. We have few consistent finishers. White is playing it the only way he can.

Get some rest Gators and let’s see what we can do at the dance. Lots of growth taking place.

White was livid on the sideline and yelling at the refs at the end of the game there during that final sequence when Neb was mugged. White was really fighting hard for his guys all game just like the past 2 games. Our guys hung tough all tourney and will gain very valuable experience in the NCAA Tourney. Its better than going to the NIT that is for sure. Go Gators!!
