He’s committed to PSU and was snagged by Seider.

What makes anybody think we have a chance here?

At 5'11," 175 he seems a little on the puny side for a safety, just saying. Unfortunately, although I enjoy trading insults with BMF, I have to agree with him on this one - little Mac special all the way.

But Mac didn’t have the SAVAGE treatment beasting these guys out. He’ll be rolling people at 190 lbs before you know it!!!! Aaaaaaaarrrgh!!!!

@Swamp Donkey posted the link to Sammon's article on Goods. Here are the highlights,

1. One of the first calls Moore (Goods' coach) made was to Ryan Osborn, who is Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham’s crack graduate assistant. Moore and Osborn attended high school together in Massachusetts. They later worked together at Division III Amherst College. The two talk football all the time.

2. Osborn, according to Moore, then watched Goods’ film and instantly evaluated Goods as someone the Gators needed to target. Grantham and then-defensive line coach Sal Sunseri were informed. Osborn, who works with the Gators’ edge-rushers, knew Florida would be in the market for defensive tackles like Goods in this cycle, per Moore’s recollection. This was March 2018. Florida became Goods’ first offer. He received it before ever playing a snap in the United States.

3. Florida offensive line coach John Hevesy is from Connecticut and recruits in the northeast, among other areas, for the Gators. Hevesy made the trip to watch Goods during spring evaluations.

“I think his film from Canada, his film from here, you watch the first three plays and you say, ‘OK, this kid can basically play anywhere,’” said Moore, who recently took the head coaching job at the Loomis Chaffee School in Connecticut. “You just keep watching it and it reaffirms your first impression.

Florida was all-in on Goods from the start because of how physical he is at the point of attack and the twitch he has, which is needed to play 3-technique at the SEC level. He has impressive bend, uses his hands well and plays with a high motor, often chasing down screens on the outside from his position inside.

4. Goods took an official visit to Gainesville last week. Days afterward, he decommitted from Kentucky. When he decommitted, schools like Georgia immediately tried to get him to take a visit. By then, his mind was made up, though. Florida defensive line coach David Turner was another reason for Goods’ commitment. The two developed a good relationship, and Turner’s track record appealed to Goods. Goods also would have a chance to play sooner at Florida than other schools because of the way its defensive line is constructed.

Wingo is a top 5 ILB from Aquinas. We desperately need inside backer help.

Derek Wingo, 2020 Inside linebacker - Rivals.com
Derek Wingo has just decommited from PSU.

He’s been taking secret visits to UF all year according to insiders. PSU has been upset about it but he’s been on campus a number of times that none of us know about. Christian Robinson about to get what he worked hard for

Have you seen his film? He’s below average.
Yes I did watch it. Have you seen him stick people? Now his hands are suspect otherwise he would have had like 8 interceptions. He's actually pretty good in coverage. Is he Hendo, no, but he will be great as a nickel or a free safety.

“Despite his commitment to Penn State, the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder noted that he continued to hear from programs like Miami, Texas A&M, Ohio State, and Oklahoma. However, it was the never say die effort that kept Florida in the mix as Wingo had long noted them as the program working hardest to pry him away from Penn State.”

Exactly what you want to hear in a recruiting article.

Robinson and Turner are running circles around the rest of the staff
