    That's what my psychiatrist said when I told him as well. I'm just going to enjoy this alternate reality where the Jimbo-led Will Grier and Dalvin Cook lead us to the 2016 BCS Championship ;) All kidding aside, I love this community. Thanks for bringing me back to "real" reality guys.

    I know I'll get roasted for this, but I would have been ecstatic if we immediately fired Muschamp after the Georgia Southern debacle and Jimbo announced the next day that he was defecting to the good guys.     We're going to win 8-9 games this year and go to a decent bowl game. Given that CDM won 10 games last year, anything other than a 2-10 performance in 2020 ensures that the boosters aren't footing the bill for a new coach in 2021.

    That $100,000 could have really helped with his mom's retirement fund. His descent from the combine to now makes me wonder if he has some sort of untreated psychological issue that was brushed off while he was here because he was playing so well.

    So here's what I see happening: Colts tank for Tua, Brady decides to retire on top after winning the Super Bowl, Colts trade Luck's rights to the Patriots for a 1st and 3rd round pick and he comes out of retirement.

    As someone who has a dad around Briles' age, I can tell you from experience that some people (especially that absolutely love their profession) just can not retire gracefully regardless of how financially secure they are. It's a combination of work ethic and lack of outside hobbies...

    I bet USF is his final head coaching job. Given his age and how he fared at Texas, I doubt he's getting another elite gig and I doubt he'd leave for a lower level P5 job. He has it pretty good there with relatively low expectations and a plethora of 3-star recruits to pick from in his backyard.

    A "Mutual split" is like the equivalent of quitting your job right before you're about to be fired. Maybe they wanted to let him save face by entering the portal rather than just kicking him off the team.

    On the flip side, the football coaching community is a fraternity where these guys are constantly networking. You don't want to lie to and mislead the same coaches and front office personnel who you may be relying on for a job in the future.

    Very ironic that our last two five-star recruits (Jefferson and Ivey) didn't get drafted today.....yet three of our lowest rated recruits from the class of 2016 did (Taylor, Polite, and Joseph). Hopefully Ivey and Jefferson can have a good training camp and stick on someone's roster like Trey...

    Lose to Arky and we get the 12 play in game. Beat Arky but lose to LSU and we get an 11 seed. Beat LSU but lose the next game and I think we get a 9 seed. I'm no expert....just a hunch.
