That may be part of it, but not being able to beat out Kestahn Moore? None of the transfers panned out elsewhere, either. And Meyer did run Percy at RB to get production from the position. Had Spiller come we’d have seen a bigger role.

I think more likely they were overrated because we were in on them. I bet RB’s are among the least accurately rated positions.

It would be interesting to see the rates of success for 4* & 5* players by position.

Are these not contradictory statements? Either they're Gators at the moment or we are shooting for both. Which is it?

Former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker isn’t happy with new Florida State coach Mike Norvell.

Sims-Walker is the uncle of consensus 4-star quarterback recruit Jeff Sims, who plays high school football at Jacksonville Sandalwood High and plans to sign during next week’s early signing period.

Sims committed to the Seminoles last February. Following WiLLLLLLLie Taggart’s dismissal on Nov. 3, Sims remained locked in with FSU. That changed this week.

Sims announced on Twitter he was decommiting from the Seminoles. Maryland and Georgia Tech emerged as front-runners to land the dual-threat quarterback.

Sims announcement came two days after Norvell reportedly met with him and told him he didn’t fit his system.

That led to Sims uncle, Mike Sims-Walker, to tweet his disapproval of the situation on Thursday.

“This new FSU coach @Coach_Norvell is a POS for the way he handled my nephew (Jeff Sims) situation!” Sims-Walker wrote in a since deleted tweet.

Sims is rated the No. 7 dual-threat quarterback in the 2020 class, according to the 247 Sports’ composite rankings. The Seminoles can ill-afford to miss on a quarterback for this year’s class. FSU previously did not sign a high school quarterback in the previous two recruiting cycles, instead relying on the transfer portal.

FSU extended offers Wednesday to other quarterbacks, including USF commit Tate Rodemaker.

Some bad signs coming from WR... guessing we’re out of the Henderson sweepstakes and now we’re scrambling for a reach. Instead of going all in on a 3 star, why not chase that transfer from PSU?

The recruiting gurus at most of the other sites (multiple) are saying that EJ is higher on the remaining board than Parrish, and the staff would take EJ over Parris - IF it was up to them. But EJ doesn't appear to be looking at UF seriously, so we likely land Parrish. In fact, Parrish hasn't been on the board very long, but EJ has been on it since the get-go.

Something's going on, this is at least the 3rd low ranked WR we've offered and visited this week (the UT commit, the UCF commit, and Brown).

the dawgs’ lack of WR depth got exposed vs LSU.

kirby got the bagmen workin’ overtime. They’ve got tons of spots left and I bet they and Clemson sweep every blue chip WR off our board.

Henderson is visiting Clemson this weekend. They already have 2 WR's and want one more. They feel they are out on Arian Smith, who UGA thinks they have locked up. Alabama is also going after Henderson.

UF's been in contact, along w/ about 8 other schools. I think most schools are waiting until after the ESD to make a decision - at least I think we are, especially since we took Pouncey as a transfer.
