Not for hoops, they haven't. And the conference is about to get a lot better with UConn back in the fold. Their recruiting is already trending radically upward. Selling hoops games against many traditional Big East foes is a lot more attractive than selling games against Tulsa and SMU.

UConn, Villanova, St. John's, Georgetown, plus some of the decent Midwest hoops programs makes up for the loss of Syracuse, BC and Pitt.

Big East basketball is back to being pretty good no doubt but the Big East of old is still long gone.

Florida moving forward with high school sports...glad to see they didn’t possibly ruin kids futures, most need their senior year to get across that scholarship line

Sec clowns rigged the schedule. I guess a bunch of schools are really mad it's all over espn. One school asked how they came up with it? In reality it's obvious it's totally rigged. I knew something smelled like a rat. Arkansas and Missouri have beef I'm sorry that thing was made up by people with no actual criteria....

this is a sh@tshow,them moving forward means they will do it without dade broward and pbc. those counties will opt out so they can delay their sports. btw all hs football titles were won by dade and broward last year

some people actually think that the reason they cancelled the season was cuz these players were connecting so much on social media and they started stuff about unionizing

Well, this is more about Marxism than anything else.

The tide has turned

Let’s see. Making a broad general statement about a group of people, based largely on what they look like and/or their walk of life, professing to know their thoughts and being suspicious of their intentions with no actual facts to support the positions, all with little regard of disparaging their character, as they are, after all, beneath you.

Yep, sounds like the definition of racism.

But I also find it funny that he feels he’s uncovered some hidden gem with his “about money” comment. Yes, unfortunately, it takes money to operate in life. If you want to live in fantasy land, then that’s your right. But it won’t change reality. How some of these people don’t get the damage they’re about to do to student athletes, communities and local businesses is beyond me. And they’ll be the same morons whining when half the athletic programs get shuttered because of a lack of funding.

And lastly, I’m so over hearing about the exploitation of black athletes and how that’s made the SEC and CFB in general so great. Understand, cfb is 100+ years old and has always been huge. As someone pointed out recently, if kids suddenly stopped having to go to college and there were only true student athletes who did appreciate what they’re getting out of the deal, it may be a slower game, but it would be the same across the board and the sport would be just as popular. And the result would largely be disastrous for those young black men who aren’t quite NFL material and now have no degree, possibly not even a HS diploma. I would love to see that experiment tried just to pee all over the cornflakes of idiots like this guy.

If the current way is so terrible for football players why haven't I ever heard of a single one quiting football, giving back the scholarship and taking out student loans like most everyone else?

So... this part (yes, I twisted your words, but...) is pretty much everyone on this message board. LOL

For example, the latest one that comes to mind is someone saying that no one GAF about college basketball. That's funny. Sure, the person who posted that doesn't and that's ok. But it is EASILY my second favorite sport after college football. And college basketball's postseason is by far my favorite.

Point being, that generalizations, even on a message board make said posters look like fools.

I'm just saying...

Well, I understand that. As you say, generalizations and hyperbole are what make message boards, message boards. For instance, I suspect you don’t actually think Wuerffel is qualified at this point to become president, though I can’t say for certain. That said, “no one cares about cbb”, while a sweeping generalization and obvious overstatement, isn’t quite on the same level as openly calling people “greedy racists”. Mainly, there’s just no need for this guy to insert this type of garbage into the sports world.
