I think you're giving muschamp too much credit here, honestly. I think he is just THAT bad of a coach. He is dumb enough to think that his two yards and a cloud of dust philosophy is gonna be good enough for that situation. He knows no other way.

No, he’s a loser. He forced an onside kick issue rather than putting the ball back in our hands. He never cared to win or even try. He’s gone on record as saying this year doesn’t count. If they scored and got the kick, sure. Otherwise he was more than content keeping the ball away from us and losing by 7-14.

I hate it when a win feels like a loss.

The talking head said UF was always in control......... didn't feel that way to me.

We were in control the whole time. I never felt the game was in doubt after our first series. But you can still control a game without “finishing” it. We didn’t finish well.

The second half was very questionable on our end, especially the 4th quarter. Offensive playcalling and execute didn't match the game situation at all. Trask's lack of arm strength showed on those deep outs. If we are playing a more talented team, those were picks.

I agree. I think this is our reality. We’re not coached well enough defensively to ever let off the gas, but sometimes a few first downs then punt drive is ok. Just not when we have Drakar running the defense. If we don’t go three and out and/or we challenge the INT(Mullen knows he can do that, right?), it’s likely a different ending.

The starting DL should be Slaton, Dunlap, Dexter, Cox. That would help a lot. When teams know they can hash us for 4-5 every run, they’re more inclined to throw and put our secondary in harm’s way. Houston needs more reps as well. Not sure Burney has a place any more.

No killer instinct. Fatal for championship aspirations.

He’s done it in other games though. That’s the maddening part. We did it against Harbaugh, Pruitt twice, and fsu. And he’s shown that mindset to finish halves, finishing with a score or attempt to do so. As I said, he was almost too aggressive when up 24. But then tensed up later. It’s weird.

I will never understand. Pierce has averaged 6 yards per carry since he stepped on campus yet he gets 0-9 carries per game. I’d love to see him pounding the rock a little more.

Muschump wins TOP by 15 minutes, 7 more first downs, 37 more rushing yards, ran 30 more plays, 5 of 6 on 4th down, and LOSES by 14!

Game is over! Champ can't run the ball but he will still try to win TOP.

Good call. This was exactly right and posted with over an hour of game to play.

The starting DL should be Slaton, Dunlap, Dexter, Cox.

2 games in and I think Dunlap is really struggling. He's was pretty bad against Ole Miss. Maybe if the lineup was with these 4, Dunlap could play his natural position and be ok (instead of getting abused at DT). But, I'd swap him with Zach Carter and go with those 4.

Did anybody else notice what looked like incredibly slow, low-effort stunts on defense that did nothing but take a defensive lineman out of the play?

Yeah I misspoke. Carter then Cox. That five.

Didn't drink half one. Had an old fashioned after the Toney TD, then went straight bourbon to finish while secretly plotting murder. Now on 3rd
IPA.

Our tackling is atrocious and we don’t cover well. Pass rush was okay at times. Burney is pretty much useless. Can’t cover worth a **** or shed blocks . Diabate gave up the short pass out of position that setup the first score. Houston did some good things and will probably be playing more moving forward . Chatfield can help us at end

Got a win and thats the main thing. Any problems the Gators had can be improved and I believe they will.
Go Gators get ready to put on a big show in Texas next week and come home with win number 3.

All I could say after a while was why didn’t Mushcramp continue to simply run off right tackle? We never stopped it. Ever.
