That could be a function of the talent hand dealt to him.

This essentially pours ice water on the notion that todd exotic is gone after the bowl. If it's due to conflicts with todd, why would he leave if todd's a goner?

We're choosing our worst defensive staff member over one of our top 2 defensive staff members.

We're mullenzin boys...
I was thinking the same thing, but it could also be Gray being smart enough to get a jump on his new gig because he knows the new DC is bringing his own guys as part of his negotiations with taking the job.

Grantham likes to leave his secondary vulnerable with his blitzing schemes. You wonder how frustrating that is for a guy like Gray. If the USC rumor is true, what’s to say his main motive isn’t to get away from Grantham and the risk-taking schemes that place an inordinate amount of pressure on the secondary.

I was holding out hope that Mullinz would turn things around. I’m now off that wagon. The question is when he gets fired. I just hope it isn’t after 7-8 years of 9-11 win seasons while never accomplishing anything.

I like this line of thinking, and the pumper in me wants to believe it.

But the dumper in me usually wins out, especially with dan fckn mullen making the decisions, so this is probably the more accurate reason...

Can't really argue with that. If he doesn't dump the dwag we will probably be stuck with Mullenz right up until he goes 5-7 and gets busted cornholing a narwhal.

Based on what I've seen, I wouldn't bank on that happening. I know you're anxious to get rid of Dan, but do you have any idea the temperature of the waters in which narwhals live? No human could perform in those conditions.

You misunderstood. Like usual, Mullen is the under in this game of cornhole.

Many on this board of learned football scholars can go into greater depth than I on the merits of each individual coach on our staff, but based solely on the results I've seen on the field, especially this season, I will not weep over the departure of any of the defensive coaches. Not a one. So if this asshat wants to come out of the closet to coach Cocks, that's fine by me.
