I watched a bunch of Saturn V launches up close, including Apollo 11. Then a few shuttles. After that I was no longer willing to drive two plus hours for lesser rocket launches. When they crank up the big boys again, I'll be there.

Wow. I started to watch the Netflix series on this mission. It is really interesting and inspiring.

Raising 200 million may be harder than completing the mission.

Happened to see the launch while driving home from church that night in Lake Wales. I had seen an article about it that morning, but still a joyous surprise to catch while driving around Lake Wailes. One cool aspect of living in Central Florida.

(Yes, the lake is spelled differently from the city. A guy named Wailes established the town but a few years later they changed the city’s name for marketing purposes.)

Now that is the kind of information I want when I read these threads.

**** Am I the only one that has questions about using the space toilet in such a confined area?

Interesting you should ask that. They delayed the first live transmission because of toilet problems. The crew has to do bathroom gymnastics behind a curtain. So not only do you have the smells and sounds in the crew compartment but also in order to keep your poop under control you kinda have to help it along by hand.
After the issues they had on this flight Elon said they are going to re think the space toilet.
