Somebody here several years ago (while muschamp was at UF) shared the stats (team rankings for penalties) of Gator coaches, both at UF and then when they moved onto other teams. The stats suggest there was a massive anti UF bias. Even SOS while at scar had a much lower frequency of penalties. The hate was, and might still be, very real.

But when the stats suggest SOS, zook, urbs and muschamp coached one of the worst penalized teams in the SEC each year while at UF, but then magically understood how to minimize penalties whenever they coached somewhere else, that’s hard to ignore.
