Noles are in the 100's in every offensive catagory. I think the only thing they are decent in is punting ( ranked in the 30's) presumably because of how many times they get to punt. I took the gators laying 6.5
They hold this proud distinction against their traditional ACC schedule.

I just looked on Sports Book Review, and they have every spread back through '11. We were not favored in any of them. In '12, we were +7 going into that game. My best guess would be our last time as favorite was '09.

After controlling the ball, not giving up any turnovers, executing, and eliminating the drive-killing penalties (or penalties that keep their drives alive), probably one of the most important things is to keep a cool head. F$U's players are going to try to bait the Gators into committing unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, and our guys are just gonna have to not retaliate and just walk away.
I don't care if the Criminoles make fun of our players' mamas, sisters, girlfriends, grandmas, aunts, etc., our guys just need to walk away. They need to remember what happened to Joseph at Vandy. They need to think about what just happened in Oxford at the end of the 3rd quarter. They need to be TOLD about what went down at the start of the 1998 game in Tally. They need to be reminded that it's almost ALWAYS the guy that retaliates who gets penalized and/or ejected (see Dallas Baker at the end of the UF-Vols game in 2004). And they need to take heed. We cannot afford any of our players penalized, or worse, ejected.
For want of a better analogy (phrase, if you will),"keeping calm and carrying on" will go a long way to helping the Gators chalk up a W Saturday. And the ULTIMATE rejection of F$U, the ULTIMATE "in your face" to F$U, will be when the clock strikes triple zero and the Gators have the greater number of points.

Announcer at Va. vs Va.Tech game just announced tat FSU does not hold the official consecutive bowl games streak because they got docked several wins in 2006 for NCAA VIOLATIONS. He was saying Va.Tech holds the official record for consecutive bowl appearances ... that's if everyone was being really honest.

Don’t have a good feeling today. They’re more talented and can exploit our weaknesses. Our strengths, unfortunately, play into theirs. We have better coaches but I’m not sure it’s enough to overcome the disadvantages. Also could be pessimism from the last 5 years.

Better coaches should be able to mitigate those weaknesses and devise a solid game plan to beat an 8 point underdog at the end of a garbage season. Sorry I'm not buying it. We're gonna stomp them.

Not feeling very confident today either, maybe it’s because of Franks, maybe it’s because of our secondary, or maybe it’s because of our bad karma lately against these guys. I hope I’m wrong, I want to end this losing streak to them and start our own. This series has been pretty streaky, so if we can turn it around today, could be ours for years to come.
