But the traffic!! It’s not as if there is some finite number of these events each year. If I can shave off 30-45 of my day, that’s certainly worth it.
I fully get that we need to change the structure of the student section. But it goes way beyond that. We’re 3-0 and a to 10 team and I’m having to practically give away tix along University as people just sit in tailgates or stay at home. Had two people as “what section?” before turning me dow. And this is 15-30 before kickoff and I’m looking for face value at most. It’s a joke.
I’d like to see Spurrier make some statements in support because there’s no way he would’ve put up with that.
They cannot sell them anymore, correct? I'd fix this instead.
If they don't show, what time they show is of what use? Or are you saying since they were in the nose bleed they decided to not show? Never stopped me.
Different student body. I lived in Corry Village in 1972 when we played LSU in a howling rainstorm. Florida Field was only half filled but it was with students, We weren't good that year, the final score was 0-3 or something like that and when I got home (walking in the rain and looking like a drowned puppy) my wife asked what the hell I was thinking. But the student section stayed the whole game.
I won’t lie, we leave after the 3rd quarter of night time FCS games because it’s a blowout, and while falling asleep at the wheel sounds like a blast, we’d rather not die for football.
Other than that, our asses are planted in our seats till the game ends.
Here's an interesting concept.... Lower tix prices and the mandatory UAA donation. As much as I enjoy being at The Swamp for a game there's no way I can shell out Bull Gator money for season tix, If I could I would in a heartbeat.
Was at LSU game last year (had a blast) and the upper SW section tix were 85 each. Maybe chump change for some but not all.
I'm SE of Ocala so distance isn't an issue.
