Can’t ask for
Much more than 28 from Trask in Baton Rouge . No pressure and dreadful safety play was on display for much of the night . LSU has a good club . Our D really let us down tonight .

Grantham has plenty to be ashamed over.
How many pounds and years experience did we lose tonight?

I say it was more of LSU than Grantham.

Make no mistake. LSU is the sleeping tiger. They have always had speed and skill. With a passing attack, oh boy.

Good game. If we had known that we would play tonight without either Greenard or Zuniga, none of us would have expected to win.
How many of us would have believed that we would have over 450 yards of offense with one turnover and lost?

Got 8 and set up a manageable 4th in the red zone. Really wasn’t a bad call.

Why did we call a run up the middle on EVERY 2nd and 20 tonight? And why do we throw to the endzone when it's 3rd and less than 1? Anyway, without both Zuniga and Grenard, I didn't think we'd be able to stop them. We couldn't in the first half WITH Zuniga. All things considered I think the Gator boys played about as well as they could. They had a chance at the end and just couldn't get it in the endzone to try the onside kick. At least they were still out there fighting for the game and didn't give up. Go Gators! Beat SC then UGA!

lsu clearly the better team, but too many head-scratching play calls by DM today. Granthem and the D didn't deliver, either. Losing Greenard early and Z in the 2nd half really hurt, but that just means DM has got to recruit better. Still showing plenty of grit, but it wasn't enough.

We're not out of it yet, but this was a big step backward to tonight.

Three plays determined the game:

That correct holding in the 3rd. Put us behind the sticks and killed momentum. Wish the refs would’ve called it on LSU too but oh well.
Trask’s really bad pick/taking out Jones on a 4th and 1 he probably gets (same play).
Losing track of Chase over the top when he scored.

So how did the defense do so well against Auburn?
Many people warned about this. Grantham is good for a great and awful game each season. Like clockwork. I, and many others, said we hoped this wasn’t the game. Maybe losing Greenard and Zuniga killed everything he wanted to do but we couldn’t get pressure early either.

Agree. We are one year away. Mark my words. We will be the team to be reckoned with; Mullen needs one more year. We're close, folks. LSU is damn good.
Mullen is doing very well. This should have been a drop in performance relative to last year.

We still need 85 scholly players. It will take another 2-3 years to get our roster back to balanced.

Our D was terrible. We may still have lost, but the D just didn't play football and gave lsu anything they wanted - and fast, all game long. Very disappointed with the D coaches. No adjustments to a game plan that lsu QB shredded from the start. The O played well enough to win. Trask is a baller and so is Jones.
But agree with others - lsu is just a better team than us. Sucks.

Maybe so but the Gators don't have time to worry about it. USCe suddenly is no gimmie and we need that game badly. Welcome to life in the SEC.

I wasn’t too bothered by CDM today. Seemed like a well called game for the most part. There’s no way a coach goes an entire game without calling a play that seems out of place. Grantham is the guilty party today.
