Rough ending for India. Didn't block the throw from Alonso that allowed a run to score, and then gets hosed to end the game. Wow.

Honestly, even if that error hadn't happened, the runner from 3rd would have scored on the ground out by the next hitter. The error on the throw to first was the killer.

All is not lost guys, have a feeling we will be back again next year.

Really hate that we play at that huge field where scoring is hard to come by. Kinda reminds me of when they play college basketball tourney games in huge arenas.

Another year, another dead dream in Omaha. Again Im a fan of Sully, but until he changes his approach with leadoff runners on, this will happen every year. People who say the skipper has little affect on outcome just dont know baseball..

Like I mentioned. Last year, as a freshman, Schwartz hit 18 HRs. After working with our batting coach,
JJ hit 8 homers this year ?? We need a really effective hitting coach.??

It's not just coaching on how to approach a pitch, we need to adjust how our batters approach an entire at bat.

I'll say it again, there's a reason why the pitchers we faced were way down in the pitch count compared to ours by the 5th or 6th inning and it's not as simple as well we didn't get hits.

Yea we didn't, but we also do a :kiffin: job of working the pitcher. I see a lot of quick swings that turn into quick outs. Sometimes it's more important to make the guy throw 4 or 5 pitches than to simply swing at the first pitch bc it's in the general area. We didn't make the pitchers work in either game. Both teams made ours work, hard. Eventually it paid off.

Very disappointing. I just can't understand how the batters can take pitches right down the middle of the zone and then swing at a pitch 2 feet outside or a pitch in the dirt they would need a shovel to hit. A lot of great pitching wasted by this team.
