The numbers never lie and they are very consistent over a long period of time.

Howvever, people celebrating classes full of 300th-450th ranked "4 stars" (thank you grade inflation clickbait) sure do, even if it's only lying to themselves.
Anyone think we landed a good OL class last cycle? Was looking it over, does not seem too promising.

We usually get one, maybe two, nice additions in our OL recruiting classes each year, combined with mostly fillers and reaches. Then, every season we tend to have one or two bright spots along the OL, surrounded by very average performers, and at least one starter that is universally considered dreadful. Still haven’t quite figured the correlation, if any, but I feel like we’re close to putting the data together.

We haven’t landed a good OL class in over a decade.

There are a couple Florida kids that I wish we went all out for. Not that this kid shouldn’t be worth our effort. Obviously so. But I’d like us to keep some Florida talent in state.
So long as we somehow aren't the "hometeam" anywhere in recruiting, we will be fighting USCjr and UK for second from last. We have to get back to owning Jax to Tampa at least.

I just listened to a recruiting podcast. They said that Jacksonville has turned into Georgia country. UF and FSU have now become secondary.

Losing.

We have money. But we dont have winning.
That absolutely affects us but Ga has been throwing major amounts of money at recruits for a while now. Bangs learned that from Saban. Florida will NEVER toss money around. They dont care about winning.

Remember the days of worrying about an offensive lineman getting hurt riding a scooter around Gainesville? These kids are rolling around in luxury rides now the likes of which ‘CPA can’t even afford! And that bastard owns his own plane and flies to the Bahamas on a moments notice! Well not really “a moments notice” … Avoiding being detected by radar while smuggling cocaine is an exact science built on precision coordination and timing.

It's just a matter of time
