Now if he would only hire Briles as an advisor, ala Sarkisian at Bammer....

@ZachAbolverdi: As expected, Tigers land the former Baylor QB. They've recruited him since July. Florida's late push wasn't enough to overcome their lead.

Suspicions confirmed. Let's hope either Franks or Trask are ready next year.

We never really had a chance at this kid, seems like even trying was time better spent elsewhere.
Actually, we did have a chance, last summer.

And yet.....we waited til two weeks before his commit date to even talk to him.

It doesn't matter. Tom Brady wouldn't be able to win the job from Del Rio.

Auburn was recruiting him in July... we started recruiting him weeks ago.

I mean to be a tiny bit fair, I don't think our coaches thought the qb situation would be as big as a dumpster fire as it was this year. But after the UT game they should have started to look at their options and there's no excuse to wait til only weeks ago to reach out.

Mac went after Stidham pretty hard. It really makes you wonder how confident they are in LDR/Franks/Allen.

Why? it's added depth and the potential to stretch out Franks or Trasks progression at worst. At best he is your starter.

LDR is a known commodity and I don't buy the hysteria that he'll be the starter next year.
Franks will be the starter next year, but I do think even with Allen redshirting, his energy level will push these guys.

Mac and Co. have been "coaching up" 4 QBs all year. If they all are unacceptable I'd point to the coaches. Our coach is the QB whisperer, remember? He must be whispering incoherent bullshyte.
