This alliance is a mess. Big 10 and ACC should have combined.

Big 12, PAC 10, and Mountain West should.

3 super conferences

4 super conferences was I think always the goal. That is 64 teams with "pod" winners playing for a division and then the conference title.

16 game playoff, the conferences arent destroyed/ looted by the NCAA, the regular season isnt destroyed and all is well.

Suck it til it spits NCAA.

SEC should poach Clemson and a select few others (not FSU). Now would be the perfect time as this alliance is problematic for several reasons, including geographic issues.

So...Duke, Wake, Syracuse, Wash State, Oregon State, Ucla, Illinois, Rutgers and Purdue(that’s right, Law) all lumped into one super conference?

An Alliance means they'll agree to play at least one OOC game with each other. Which means they'll get more lucrative TV contracts.
Technically we're at P4. The B10, P12, ACC (and SEC after expansion) have less games to play against the non P4 teams. Sucks to be UCF.
Essentially we are looking at 4 conference, 54 team DIV 1.
Which is the way God intended it.

Scared to potentially lose all the bargaining chips to the SEC and ESPN now that Okie and Tejas are coming. This is nothing more than attempting to ensure some seats at the table when the NCAA is told to go Fuchs off.

Exactly

Nothing to worry about if you are the SEC. This is a survival move only
