Shameless plug ahead.....
My college, Southeastern University is in its first year of football and built a brand new stadium over the summer. If you around you ought to get out here and catch a game. We've created quite an atmosphere. AND its right in the middle of a recruiting hotbed. we have several big football high schools around here. Team isn't half bad to watch either. Dropped over 50 in our last 2 games and are 3-1 with the only loss being to Faulkner.

You should set up a game with the Dreadnaughts. I would pay money to see a college team lose to a high school team. :rolleyes2:

Good ole Lakeland - the 7th least educated city in America (143rd out of 150). I used to live there for 4 years, and its best aspect was proximity to both Tampa and Orlando.

I just love statistics. You can convince some people of anything with them. There are something like 30,000 cities in the US . Being 143rd sounds pretty darn good.

It's great that there are so many College Football programs in the state. I graduated HS in 1988 and there were only 6 CFB programs in the entire state (UF, FSU, UM, UCF, FAMU, BCC). Now there are 15 or so: FIU, FAU, USF, JU, Stetson, FL Tech, Ed Waters.

I'd love to see a 6-8 team spring JUCO league in the state. Imagine how many D1 prospects that would produce. Put a team in the Miami area, Tampa, Jacksonville, Pensacola, Naples, Ft. Lauderdale/WPB, Orlando.
