Glad to see Hobie production will move back from Mexico to USA. They're saving the brand, now can they bring back the quality?

I wouldn't count on it. I worked for Tracker Marine(division of Outdoor World/BPS/TMG) twice for a total of 6 years and unless it was made of aluminum, they are clueless....They turned iconic boat brands like Mako and SeaCraft into abortions...They love brand names under their umbrella but their quality control and engineering is an unmitigated disaster.

Bass Pro will ruin it even further. Look at what they did to cabela's.

I have an old Outback kayak, before the hull issues. Since 2018 there are several new pedal drive kayaks and a few currently way above Hobie. Its possible there will be a new modern roto mold plant in Lebanon, Mo. in the near future.
