Back in the mid-2000s we went to the FSU game in the Swamp, I think it was 2005 - we were walking to the stadium from our tailgate and a buddy of mine was drinking beer out of a plastic cup - we hadn't seen each other in a while and got to talking about what each other was up to; and before you know it, he gave his ticket to the taker, and walked right in with half a beer. We didn't even realize it until we were about 20 feet into the stadium. He drank the rest of his beer and tossed the cup in the garbage.

I got patted down, at least in the first 3 years at least 2-3 times a year, and only got caught once (and only 1 of the 2) in 5.5 years. Always going in on the student section...would always screw up and walk in with friends several times. Alumni side is the way to go...of course, I have not been to a game since 96-97...

We always used a "decoy" system. One guy wears the flask, finds an older lady to come in near then strikes up a conversation with her as he walks through the gate to make it look like they're going in together. Concurrently, the second guy stumbles in loudly and drunkenly without any flask as near as possible to the cops, draws their attention and hopefully gets patted down while the first guy walks through unchecked.
