Former Florida quarterback Chris Leak will be the next head coach of Edgewater High School in Tampa, Fla.

Leak was an assistant during the Will Muschamp era, serving as a graduate assistant in 2013 before becoming the Gators’ receivers coach in 2014. He spent this past season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers staff in a community relations role.

Now, according to FootballScoop.com, he’s been named head coach at Edgewater High in Orlando.

Leak played at Florida from 2003-06, going out in style by leading the Gators to a 41-14 beatdown of the Buckeyes to claim the school’s second national championship in his final season.

The article said it's Edgewater High in Tampa, not the Orlando school of the same name. Typo maybe?

Yeah, just did a google search and didn't see anything in Tampa so added the "typo" comment to my post . For some reason, though, I always thought there was a town close to Tampa called Edgewater. I dunno. Regardless, happy for Leak.

Only city in FL named Edgewater I've heard of is over on the east coast south of Daytona, FWIW.
