Jumping the gun? This is how the game is played today. It's obviously not a committable offer, but it shows the school's interest and puts you in the athlete's head for the long bumpy recruiting road that lies ahead.

Dude, seriously calling our Coach "Kiffen"? That's not cool and should be met with a 3 day ban. If he were here for a year or more and pulled our team into the crapper, well that would be one thing.

Having talent is one thing. But having talented prima donnas w/an "I love ME" attitude is detrimental to the team.

It seems like following individuals at this age is the coming thing and offering is a no lose activity. Gets their attention without any real commitment.

Kiffin certainly isn’t the first coach to offer a scholarship to a pre-high schooler (in fact, it’s not even his first time doing so). Les Miles and Nick Saban have previously offered a spot to athlete Dylan Moses, another member of the 2017 class.

But why the need to compare Mac to Lame when there are plenty of other Coaches doing this. Why not compare Mac to them?

I'll tell you why, cause the OP believes this is a stupid move and wants to disparage Mac. By putting Lame's name to it he thinks he effectively does so.
