Before watching this, I'm thinking of a drinking game. One shut every time he says "position to be successful". I might not watch. I probably wouldn't make it to work tomorrow.

Okay, I watched the first 3 minutes and two things jumped out at me.

1) Mullen is already laying the groundwork & excuses for next season by saying that a big chunk of the players, specifically the 2019, 2020 & 2021 recruiting classes have never been through spring practice. This is no bueno.

2) The reporters are starting to call him out on his BS coach-speak. When he dodged the 1st reporter’s question about whether he’s interested in going to the NFL, a different reporter chimed in and said to Mullen “you’re not answering the question”. Somebody is actually holding his feet to the fire. This is muy bueno.

 

If the press starts to ride his azz, he gone. That's our one hope that can slide the mediocre coach out the door.

 

So, who's next? It has been one mis-fire after another. At least Butters won the SECe twice.
At least he could be found on National Signing Day. At least his recruits have amounted to something.
Dopey Dan has been an embarrassment! I guess UF has decided to put up with him until his
contract runs out instead of paying him is buyout money.

 

If the Gainesville press is starting to question him, they have been given permission to question him. The other two dildo's already had extensions going into season number three, this dildo doesn't. There are reasons for this.

 

I am not sure what that looks like since I can’t remember the last time a member of the gator press corps did anything other than lob softball questions at a gator coach.
My assumption is that the reporter that repeated the question will be banned from future press conferences as Scottie ensures that they won’t ultimately turn their attention towards him.

Good question. The other and less likely scenario is that he will get a real DC, shore up his recruiting team including taking it more seriously himself and we can get headed in the right direction. Coaches by nature are damn stubborn and sometimes to a fault. In fairness, I don't know anyone that has been successful in what they do without some stubborn tendencies but he strikes me as one incapable of pushing it to the side in order to evolve. Not confident, we will see it.
