Following Cov2's creative thinking :
Construct those new buildings on "stilts". Put charged $ fan parking "garage" beneath them. Make that garage tall enuf to host RVs. Have latest efficiency lighting and breeze fans, all powered by solar powering under Fed grants. Can have Chic Fil A etc., (rent to highest bidder) have outlets there. Tailgating cooking permitted of course.
Have impeccable Wi-Fi. Tailgators can text each other, lounge on GC etc.
Have a floor of rented office space hosting college relevant businesses. Be a great locale
for a screen-printing company... etc. etc.

UF research should invent (like GatorAde) a non-alky beer that will actually cancel out
the effects of alcohol = a sobering wine & beer. Name it Swampwater Beer and
Swampwater Wine. In the stadium on the opponent's side have the relevant cans printed
with the opposing team's logo to eliminate that hesitancy to buy.

Last but not least, have some of our Chinese students negotiate that loan from China.
Get them classified as student loans, so we can drag 'em out and/or default on them.

Go back to student "card sections" with the cards displaying logo ads. With logo ads
we can sell each card to various commercial concerns. For ad separations no student
shall reveal his ad when the neighboring student is displaying. This way, those fans
who cannot afford parting with their money can be fund raisers as logo card-raisers.
Let's go Gators, all the way.

So if we haven't upgraded much in 7-8 years, and we are close to 100 million in dept. How did all the other SEC schools afford their upgrades? And what is their debt? It just doesn't add up.

We brought in a total revenue of almost $148 million last yr(6th highest in the country) yet...we're in debt a $100 mill??? You damn right something doesn't add up! Seems like Foley has been asleep on the job for awhile.

That's $148 million total revenue, NOT net profit.

Anybody have an idea what the operating budget is? I think it's somewhere around 100 mil but I can't find it right now.?.

Football has always pulled the cart, the entire cart. Basketball revenue is only about 10%, everything else is pretty much football. Even things like donations and licensing revenue took a dump when the football team crashed.

Again, the reason we are in trouble is that donations were cut in half from 2013 to 2014 ALONE and merchandise fell. Win, and those numbers get back to where they should be. Tickets are only a tiny slice of the picture and the problem is lack of asses in the stadium seats and the gator club meetings.
