SoCar plays 9 guys 12 minutes or more. Their best player is 6'5" 215 lbs Thornwell who plays almost 32 minutes a game scoring 18 points, grabbing 7.1 rebounds and dishing 3.6 assists. He shoots better than 40% from the arc.

Their second best player is 6'7" 185 lbs Dozier who plays around 27 minute a game scoring 14.9 points, getting 4.8 boards and 3.1 assists. He too is a 40%+ shooter from the arc. Notice is a 6'2" player who plays about 31 minutes a game scoring 9.9 points. He does not shoot a high percentage from the arc.

Two of their bigs are 6'10" Kotsar and 6'9" Silva who both score a bit under 10 points a game and get around 5 or 6 rebounds a game. The do not seem to shoot from the arc much even Kotsar who is a Euro.

UF could do lots of thing to help themselves get this big game on the road. Limiting Thornwell particularly in rebounding would be a step. I am not sure who UF's lock down guard is, but maybe UF could cover him with someone bigger as SoCar often has 3 guards in the game. Also SoCar is good on the offensive boards and UF needs to limit that. The line is UF +1 and the Sagarin ratings say UF -1.

USCjr is a great defensive team and plays very well at home, so we'll have our work cut out for us. A win would be enormous, but a loss wouldn't really be that catastrophic. Regardless, we should be 7-1 in conference at the very worst heading into the UK game.

Would really like to see a win over a good team, right now we have a folder full of 'competitive losses' to them.

Our guys know they're going to have to bring it tonight. I expect a lot of intensity from us, and for some reason we seem to be playing better on the road early on this season.
