— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac announces Thomas Holley and Andrew Ivie careers over due to injuries. Can keep scholarship for school.

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac: No change in Callaway status, will practice. No timeframe.

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac points out Brandon Powell's strong start last year

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac asked about Spurrier calling Del Rio starter. "I guess those three practices he watched. I guess he picked it." Brushes off LDR = QB1

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Freshman wideouts Tyrie Cleveland and Rick Wells "dealt with," Mac cites ongoing consequences. Will be practicing tomorrow.

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac praises LDR, Appleby for how they handle "daily business," how they handle being asked to do something.

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac on Spurrier: "This is where he belongs. He's a Gator – always will be a Gator."

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac on Spurrier, potential ego conflict: "Egos get you fired."

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Martez Ivey likely to play more inside, eventually move back to tackle (recruited position)

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac praises Maye, Davis for returning to get their degrees. "They promised their mothers. And we promised their mothers…"

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac on freshman QBs: No set plans for playing time/redshirt. Team excited about both. Development boosted by spring, summer.

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac on Nick Washington: We don't talk about him because he does his job. DBs trust him. Huge part of special teams.

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac says new recruiting Twitter rules make sense. Prefers to embrace instead of enforce.

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac on Worton: "He has come a long, long ways." Hints he's in great shape. "outstanding summer"

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac: Excited to see Pineiro "grow as a kicker." "He has the talent to do it."

— Andrew Olson (@ByAndrewOlson) August 3, 2016

Mac: Pineiro fun to be around, good teammate

Mac is an amazingly nice guy. So unusual in a Head Coach.

Andrew Ivie is that joey Ivies brother and if so does that mean we are down 2 DT before practice.even starts?
Yep, but a guy who was never going to play because of his hip (Holley) and a RSF (Ivie). Should not impact this year, but does impact the future depth at the position.

I really like Mac. Yeah recruiting numbers aren't huge, but the guys he gets in key places are going to pay dividends.
Go Gators!

I know right? It's a dang shame he can't recruit a lick.
He isnt the problem. The recruits speak positively about him pretty much unanimously. The problem is the staff, no doubt. We have too many pieces of deadweight on the coaching staff.

Mac looks relaxed but energetic and he projects confidence. He is embracing the culture and history of UF football. His demeanor is in contrast to Muschamp's uptight demeanor which cast an influence in the way his teams played.

With Mac the feeling is we are going to find a way to make something good happen With Muschamp the feeling was when is something bad going to happen.

I think 1/3 to 1/2 of the staff is pretty solid to great. The rest needs to catch up/be replaced.

I hope Mac becomes the most successful coach in our history and stays here long term.

And no feeling ever that something good would happen. Every game was hanging on by our fingernails while opponents stomped on our fingers one by one. Gawd Mustank ball was painful to watch. Kinda looking forward to watching USCe suffer.

GC will greatly enjoy Messedchomp's each loss post game hexplanation and how he's gonna fix it, on his
way to the next flawed loss.
