Exciting is a great word, and I and he never even thought that say going down without scoring would seal the victory, score when you can.

Then the great kick offsetting the penalty, at the time I was angry about the penalty, but it was appropriate if not great.

Thanks for posting the Gator Rewind video for us Face Book less Gators. It really told the story well especially with Mick. My wife and I left the Old Dominion State last weekend and met up with our son and some of his Gator buddies from the class of 06-10 . My son had not been back to a game for 4 years and he agreed that the stadium was rocking like old times. One of his boys said it may have been louder than the "Cock Block" of 06. Us old Gators have seen it all and are used to to the peaks and valleys of Florida football. However the younger Gators especially those who were a part of the legendary Meyer/ Tebow Dynasty have become very disillusioned with the state of Florida football.
After the game I met the boys at Lillians Downtown and smoked cigars, had a few beers and talked more football. The best part of the weekend for me was seeing how happy my son and his friends were. Florida football was relevant again and the Swamp magic was back.
I am not sure how the season will play out but for now football is fun again for the alumni , and especially the younger fans who lost hope after the failures of Champ and Mac.
The absolute best time of the weekend for me was seeing the smile on my son's face when he said, "Dad it is great to be a Gator again. "

As an old hand at this I have to say that Muschamp's 11-2 year didn't even feel like this. Even at the end I never bought into the coaching staff. Not once from his intro presser to the day he was fired. The only two times I got really excited about a hire was Spurrier in Dec of '89 and Meyer. I was lukewarm at best regarding Mullen. But now that I've had six games to see his work to date it sure as hell FEELS like the buzz from Spurrier/Meyer that was NEVER there during Chimp/Butters. The players are acting like they are bought in all the way. What really has me going is the next two years watching Mullen recruit his own players to fit the program he has in mind. It is no coincidence now that Meyer's success during his tenure here is tied in to Mullen. I'm in a "can't wait to see" mode that I haven't had in a decade. A freakin' decade.

What he said. Plus, the Swamp is alive again and that means a lot!

The win over LSU last week looks even better today with the Tigers hammering Georgia in Death Valley.
