White's soul psyche is "fun is no fun". "Energetic playing is where mistakes occur." Don't go there. in practice "no, no, no!
Players who indulge in their All American joyful playing must refrain. "You'll learn to win this way or you'll lose." So everybody loses.
Mann had some surprisingly solid stretches too.Lost in the shuffle was Blackshear and Locke carrying the team and helping them rally. Both had great games.

We need Veritas to secretly film a couple of Mike White practices?
Coach K has a You-tube video of a Duke practice. = not dedicated to getting shooters open for 3s.??
So should White's faith in perimeter play de-emphasize inside shots? The backdoor is there 9 times/game; ball handler doesn't even look??
Payne's hand is up, ready to receive for the dunk. Use your visual memory; how frequently does Payne get a pitchback? Our inside tall-man (1) could score at a 55% + clip. 2) could score plus get free-throws & a foul on the enemy's big-man ?
FG% leaders = Payne at 60.8 % .... KJ at 54% ...... Jitoboh at 51.7 %. Payne & Jitoboh are underused and getting too little playing time to develop. That's just what we need = a nationwide announcement that UF does not develop the tall inside players. The team's spirit rises with every dunk and layup. (that could be useful in keeping pace)
A shooting % of 45.5% is a "good" that we could raise to better with more layups??
In harsh season's end play is the wrong competition to expose our inside freshmen to develop them .... but here we are? So do it.
When fans like the coach and recognize the confidence of such coach (Donovan) we put faith in him. No real faith in White. Too late for White to fix stuff right. Hope nobody bolts from White's non-coaching.
Guy should be playing as the human eraser on defense and as the garbage collector on offense. With time (and coaching) his offense could improve, but strictly on talent and athleticism only, he should be making a difference in every game!
The turnovers in the second half put the nails in our coffin. They threw the ball out of bounds so many times, I lost count. They looked like crap the first half too. Some of that was aggressive fouling by Tennessee.
Forcing a 4th year player who had literally zero made 3 pointers in his career take a desperation 3 as the clock expired was an example of bad coaching? Not sure I follow that. How do we keep coming out so damn flat??? 9 mins. without scoring to end the first half was tuff to recover from but then let them hit that 3 at the end with 2 seconds to inbound and shoot was a dagger in the heart.
To say White was out coached is obvious.
Your point guard more or less determines tempo of the team and I'm sure you have noticed, Nembhard is anything but a speedster. His strengths are his length, vision, passing and he can be pretty good driving to the hoop. His 3 pt shooting is decent and he usually has a good handle, but in this game the whole team had serious turnover issues. Glover is faster but not nearly as talented, inexperienced, and about half a foot shorter than Nembhard. We do not have enough brains cutting to the basket to become threats. Ball handlers slow everything down giving defenders time to glance around and figure where our play is gonna be. This is allowing your pass receiver to get blanketed with coverage -- and that slows passing and puts a defender or 2 in the vicinity where we want to go. Passes are more prone to be TOs that way. These boys want to go fast, that's what their bodies are used to. Superbad coach to not take that advantage and train it into our youngsters.
There was definitely a reason pundips ranked us at #6 preseason? Because we had the players who were very productive. White gets his way with them and they deteriorate unto unimportance when they've been a big-wheel all their BBall careers.?? Get a dynamic HC in here.
