Gator Basketball How Bearden's Ques Glover, named after a Florida All-American, became a Gators commitment

I think this deserves a thread of its own and not to be buried in the next years basketball roster thread. I think even our football only guys will like this story. This kid and this family makes me really hope things work out ok for him at UF.

Here are a few excerpts:

I always watched Florida a lot and it's like a dream come true," said Glover, who is named after Jacquez Green, an All-America wide receiver for the Gators in 1997.

Glover's father, Lennon, grew up in Knoxville and graduated from West, but he started rooting for the Gators because he liked former football coach Steve Spurrier and that he was from East Tennessee.

After he posted his commitment, he received more than 600 text messages and 300 direct messages on Instagram and Twitter. His parents drove around Knoxville looking for a Florida Gators shirt for Glover to wear to school the next day.

"That's hard," Nayeshah said of looking for Gators gear in Knoxville.

They finally found one at West Town Mall. Glover put it on when he came home later that evening and said, "It feels different wearing this. I'm not a fan anymore. I'm a Gator."
