How much does it take for you consider yourself rich?

Rich to me is being able to retire today and your lifestyle doesn't have to change.

Does that include hookers and blow?

I am retired and have no financial concerns. However, I consider myself to be middle class. I think a net worth of more than $25 million would be needed to be considered wealthy.

I think $10 million is about right to call someone "rich". That much money can provide interest of around $500K/yr to live on while still maintaining your principle. While $500K is a lot of money to be sure, it will not fund the lifestyle of what Americans perceive as "rich" with multiple homes worth millions and a fleet of exotic cars. But it certainly can provide for a very comfortable life.

I agree. About $10M. I’d consider $250K/yr for a household as very well off. $500K/yr is a different arena. Life changing money there. Gets you too retirement much quicker.
