Florida quarterback Kyle Trask is the second SEC player to record eight consecutive games with at least three passing touchdowns.
Missouri’s Drew Lock in 2017 is the other. Trask’s 34 touchdown passes through eight games are the third-most in FBS history, behind B.J. Symons in 2003 and Andre Ware in 1989 (36).
With the 34-10 win against Kentucky, Florida has defeated four SEC opponents by at least 20 points for the first time since 2008 (when it did so seven times). The Gators have posted six consecutive SEC games of at least 400 yards for the first time since a stretch from 2001 to 2002.
Buffalo running back Jaret Patterson tied an NCAA record with eight rushing touchdowns, and his 409 rushing yards were second-most all-time. Patterson’s 710 yards over two games are the most in a two-game span in FBS history.
He rushed for a school-record 301 against Bowling Green last week. This made Patterson the second player in FBS history with consecutive 300-yard games, joining Texas’ Ricky Williams in 1998.
Iowa State is 4-6 against Oklahoma and Texas under Matt Campbell. The Cyclones were 7-84-2 before that.
Iowa State is 7-1 in conference play for the first time in school history, and the seven league wins are the most in school history. Saturday’s win at Texas was ISU’s first in a road matchup of ranked teams (1-10-1). Iowa State last won a conference title in 1912.
Alabama’s 42-13 win against Auburn is its largest ever against a ranked Auburn team.
The previous bests were 31-7 wins in 1971 and 2001. Mac Jones’ five touchdown passes tied an Iron Bowl record (Tua Tagovailoa had five in 2018).
Stanford won for the first time in nearly 400 days.
