I remember thinking Spurrier made a mistake when he picked E Graham over portis. I don’t recall portis having any off field issues during college, but I wonder if the HBC saw something that bothered him.

When I initially read your post, my mind registered E Graham as E Smith, and I replied stating Portis was like 10 years old when we had Emmitt. Lol

Just glad I caught the crossfire in my brain before anyone else did....
