I don't know about that. @Detroitgator struggles to figure it out sometimes. Likely due to some undisclosed family tragedy.

Maybe I am a little off here but my first real thoughts about death were in HS. Every year or two we lost one to a car wreck. It was like the powers above had to remind us young folks that we were NOT invulnerable or indestructible. I didn't start the dark humor here but sometimes I take the bait......

My theory bout young guys (30ish to early 50s is its about fear. You're gonna struggle, pisss and moan and when you start going to docs more often you will think "Gdmm, look at all these poor old bastrdds in here with their wives treating them like children" or be a tough mofo and go alone like me.....
but TBH. I had all three of them help me through that REALLY tough part in the beginning....never all three at once but two a few times....

One of my favorite Holtz memories, and being there in person, watching their fans build up all day, then they grab that early 7-0 lead, just to watch it all crumble.

I never met Lou Holtz, but a guy who worked at his country club (Lake Nona, I think) said he was notorious for his cheating on the golf course. My wife works with his daughter in law and she’s exceptionally nice. I taught two of her kids and they were great. Super smart, very nice, and athletic. Both went on to graduate from Notre Dame. Prayers for the family.
