The longtime Tampa Tribune and Tampa Bay Times sports columnist died Friday of an apparent heart attack. He was 65.

I remember reading his articles in the Tampa Trib growing up. He and Tom McEwen did a good job keeping the Sports section a must read back then. RIP.

I read his column religiously for over a decade while living in the Tampa area.
Very good sportswriter and dare I say it a very good journalist if you are old enough to remember what a journalist was.
