Anybody heard anything about this. I have a good friend who is an USCe alum. He was in Columbia this weekend for the Mizzou game and said there is talk/story/rumor being kicked around up that way that if UF releases Muschamp, USCe is interested in him as the DC. Not sure if there is anything to it, but I guess we all can hope.

I'm pretty sure every program in the country would want him as a dc. This thread was a tease. I was hoping muschamp would pull a Tommy tubberville and spurrier was retiring

Well if they want him and he's available, then so be it.

That article opines two weeks. I hope they are right that Fooley will pull the trigger if that happens.

I think he could end up with a better dc gig. And he probably will when the coaching carousel starts up.

Better than USC? Bammer or LSU? Those won't be open.

Michigan will be and he'll do alot better in the big 10 and Michigan has a way bigger pay roll.

Clearly you've never been to Michigan.

Why? Is Florida's defense good? Even last year, the defense was good statistically but failed to ever make a stop against a good team when it mattered. It was a constant refrain, even if UF scored, the defense would just give it right back. The defense was great in 2012, but you now wonder if it was Muschamp or the defensive coordinator.

Either way I hope he does end up in south Carolina. We can't stop anybody with the talent we recruit here. He'd be working with alot less there.

I don't think he would unless we get embarrassed badly in those games. If we were to add Mizzou to those two I think that would be it.

And they can talk about how happy they are to be away from this fanbase.

Has a head coach at a major program ever been demoted to coordinator rather than just fired? Maybe there is something in their contract that prevents that from happening?
