Offensive comparisons of 2013 and 2014 through 3 games
Note: I didn't include the points or the 70 yards gained in OT against KY because it wasn't in regulation and wouldn't be a fair comparison. The TD against Bama by the defense is included however.
2013: Toledo, Miami and Tennessee
Average yards game: 403
Average points game: 24
3rd down completion %: 49%
2014: Eastern Michigan, KY and Bama
Average yards game: 439
Average points game: 35
3rd down completion %: 34%
The things that stick out are the difference in 3rd down completions and average points a game but that Eastern Michigan game blowout accounts for that but the Bama game did drive down the difference in the yardage output quite a bit from the 2nd game.
