No...FTs were not a problem...we should have won by 20...was favored by 14. We can't attack a zone and this coach doesn't know that the defense by Leon is dragging us down.
Must start and play the majority of the game:
Hill
Allen
Barry
Robinson
Egbunu
They need to play between 25-30 a game... TOGETHER
We missed 2 in the game. Shot 75% can't ask for to much more. Our worst 2 FT shooter got fouled and missed when we needed it. It happens. The problem is we have Allen in the halfcourt offense and that's about it. We never get layups or dunks and teams just bully us on rebounds. We never push our pace until we are down big. There are at least 10 adjustments White can make to help the players into a better position to succeed...but we still end up with drive dish...turnover...We did a great job with Allen today to get him open and in good matchups and position...but the other 10 players played dribble hand off and I think we only had 4 transition pts all game on 2 attempts. My point is even with all of that, had we just hit our freaking FREE throws, we win the game. Bottom line.
If we go 11-7 in the SEC I think we are in pretty solidly. I'm not sure we go 8-8 with how we keep playing like football. Slow, prodding, turnovers, keeping bad teams in games, and getting behind early...just a bad way to win games on a power 5 conferenceThat RPI stuff will take care of itself pretty soon with some of the teams coming up. If we lose @ Oklahoma I think we don't get a KY win and probably get left out of the tourney even if we go 11-7 in the SEC. Having Seton Hall as the big win is a joke.
When are these Gator coaches going to start teaching individuals to up their playing skills?
They have a should-be beast in Egbunu and yet he's probably the worst "big-man" in the SEC.??
Leon could probably improve his 3-pt% if it were drummed into him in practices to get his feet set first.
Hill's penetration becomes worthwhile only if trailers react to receive the dish-off pass?
FT% of Egbunu is low enough to switch him to Barry's underhand style.
Practices need time-dedication to crisp passing, including smart-visioned fake pass gestures to stumble
the defenders = make them make mistakes.
Ergo, IMO our coaches apply no insight to how & what we practice-drill. Coaches need film-study to catch
what body motions/positions are causing specific players' too low shooting %. As of now, this team is ripe
for early-easy tournament exit. Now is the time for corrective coaching-practices. I am worried.

We have the hardest non conference schedule in the country with wins vs 4 teams that will be in and still have a lot of chances in the SEC. 6-8 losses in the SEC and we should be ok as long as we don't lose to terrible teams...Vandy is close to one of those teamsI don't think so they have left out prior 11-7 and even 12-6 SEC record teams when they had no decent out of conference wins and no big SEC win. I think 10-8 or 11-7 with no KY win and no run in the tourney will probably get us left out. We have seen # 40 RPI teams left out and we are on pace to finish worse than that now if we don't right the ship quickly.

I think the key is to win our next 3 games...2 on the road. Absolute must wins. If we do that....I think we have chance to beat UK at home. Then hold serve the rest of the way. But it all starts with winning at LSU, at Oklahoma, and vs MissouriWe will revisit this if we go 11-7 or worse in the SEC. I just know they don't like teams having no signature wins. We lost to the good teams we played and now even Seton Hall and them are starting to fade fast.
On offense we are basically just a big clusterf*ck...

At home its possible....but not if we struggle to score 60 ptsBeat Kentucky? No chance in hell.
